Responsibilities/Qualification Position Summary Under general supervision, the Logistics Analyst develops and implements policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure effective and economical support for manufacturing or servicing of products, equipment, and systems. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Will be part of a team of engineers, logisticians, technicians, and analysts that provide support to Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) for submarine Towed Systems Branch. Will work under the supervision of an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager. Responsibilities Performs all activities involved in the management of product movement. Plans, develops and implements programs to coordinate physical distribution, order fulfillment, inventory management and control, and contract management activities. Duties include the gathering and analysis of information on moderately complex product plans and project objectives, providing tracking and status reports, and support for ensuring distribution and delivery commitments. Analyzes moderately complex contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports to determine requirements. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Develops logistics plans for facilities, personnel, equipment, spares and maintenance. Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Assesses and recommends the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve moderately complex problems. Prepares and presents reports, studies, cost analyses, and briefings to staff and customers as needed. Participates in technical discussions at project review sessions and in negotiations with the customer. Builds relationship with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Will work with logistics and maintenance databases and tools to ensure adequate ILS support for submarines, including converting training curriculum into CPMLOM, TSRA, FEA, TDFA NTSP-s new format utilizing tool set, media packages and analysis as well as other material messages. Researches logistics technology advances and applies appropriate technology in order to improve logistics processes. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training. Training Products Development and Support as directed by MARMC C273. Training Products Development and Support: 1) Development: a) Convert training curriculum into CPMLOM, TSRA, FEA, TDFA NTSP-s new format utilizing tool set, media packages and analysis. b) Review and provide training product input on concepts, approaches, plans, technical documentation, and products as directed. c) Provide conversion of any existing training products to PMS 435 preferred delivery devices. 2) Training: a) Develop RADAR system training curriculum via the NAVEDTRA 136/137/138 format utilizing detailed knowledge of AIM. b) Participate in and provide training input to all systems under PMS 435 cognizance as directed. 3) QA and Coordination: a) Coordinate with multiple activities at the same time for multiple projects to develop, review and obtain approval for training product development. b) Provide quality assurance of completed training products prior to delivery. 4) Mid-task financial status report brief. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline plus at least 2 years of directly related experience desired or 5 additional years of experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for comparable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data. Completion of at least one tour as a submarine Logistics Specialist (or SK) aboard a US submarine. Highly desired or significant ashore experience supporting submarine logistics. Five (5) years full-time experience in Navy Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of the DOD/Navy Integrated Logistics System. The experience shall include each of the following Navy ILS components listed below in support of a major forward electronic system or HM&E system: (1) Maintenance Planning (2) Manpower, personnel, and training support (3) Supply support (4) Test Equipment support (5) Technical logistic data (6) Packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (7) Design and installation (8) Configuration Management *****Knowledge, Skills, Abilities***** Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards. General application of concepts and principals. Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
