(CTRS) , youll make a real impact by:utilizing therapeutic
recreation activities to improve the physical, emotional, and
social well-being of individuals with disabilities, illnesses, or
other conditionsDeveloping individualized therapeutic strategies
for assigned patientsConducting goal-oriented recreationProviding
transportation and supervision for Recreation Therapy
outingsSoliciting input from staff in developing weekend, holiday,
and vacation activity for the patients on each unitParticipating in
activities which enhance professional growth and
developmentAssisting staff and provides support to employees by
introducing and educating staff to activitiesAssists, demonstrates,
teaches, and instructs activities to residentsProviding positive
and appropriate intervention, limit-setting, response,
problem-solving, and guidance when neededDemonstrating knowledge,
understanding, and follow-thru with resident treatment plans and
interventionsWhat Youll Need:Active Certified Therapeutic
Recreation Specialist (CTRS) license in VirginiaMinimum of 2 years
of experience in Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living settingA passion
