Description SCHEDULER (SIOP-22-0798-W):
Bowhead is seeking to network with Schedulers to join our team in providing program management support in a broad range of services to the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP) and assisting our US Navy clients in the execution of the SIOP mission. SIOP is chartered with modernizing the infrastructure at four public shipyards in Pearl Harbor HI, Puget Sound WA, Kittery ME, and Portsmouth VA.
The Scheduler provides operations with a plan that maximizes efficiency, resources, and capacity. Plans and coordinates schedules. Achieves on time delivery within an established budget. In addition, the Scheduler typically reports to a manager. Being a Scheduler gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Manage the SIOP Program-wide Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), integrating all program and shipyard execution activities.
Monitor and report on schedule management performance across the program.
Support schedule-focused meetings with internal and external stakeholders and, as required, conduct what-if analysis and develop / recommend courses of action. The scheduler must be proficient with Microsoft Project software
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Bachelors Degree required
2 plus years (2+) professional experience scheduling or analyzing military projects
Must be efficient with MS Project
Must be able to multi-task, manage priorities and work independently with little direction
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
