The Senior Manager, Marketing Technology will be responsible for the marketing technology stack at Bottomline. This position will work in Marketing with a cross-functional business and IT team to define, develop, implement, and refine business processes including the supporting technology. This role is responsible for the end-to-end solution, including requirements gathering, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and gathering metrics. Business customers will look to this position for guidance on how to use technology to deliver the best business results and outcomes.

Current marketing technology solutions include: Marketo, Pardot, integration to Salesforce, and other supporting business systems that integrate into these core systems and website technologies such as, ON24, PowerBI, Google Analytics, Bottomline.com, adtech, etc.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with multi-functional teams such as Marketing, Enterprise Applications, Sales Operations, Customer Success and IT to streamline and optimize the revenue marketing processes and closed loop marketing
  • Lead the technology optimization and evolution including identifying opportunities, selecting solutions, integrating them into legacy systems and processes, and supporting their adoption and use by cross-functional teams
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
  • Craft business requirement documents, process level flows, user stories, functional specifications, and system design specifications

  • Manage and develop vendor relationships and lead vendor evaluations with appropriate stakeholders to define business requirements and influence technical specifications
  • Serving as a technical advisor for out of the box and standard methodologies on various ecosystems of Salesforce
  • Responsible for owning system configuration and user setup as needed. Configure workflows, roles/permissions, page layouts, reports, saved searches and dashboards
  • Work with business partners and other teams to identify new data sources and ensure data is accurate and flowing correctly to the data warehouse

Required Skills:

  • Has a deep passion in researching for standard methodologies, industry benchmarking, bringing in productivity/automation and efficiency
  • Familiarity with B2B GTM (Sales, Marketing, Product) best practices such as SiriusDecisions or Revenue Marketing
  • Well-versed with website and digital strategies, technologies, integrations, programmatic marketing technologies and CMSs
  • Ability to lead and facilitate recommendations for solutions or improvements and reviewing solutions that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
  • Ability to lead implementation efforts including development/configuration, and deployment across multi-dimensional teams
  • Demonstrable ability to drive end-to-end lifecycle, from conception to launch as well as post-launch support
  • Must be highly skilled with data management, documenting process and data flows, and ensuring data quality
  • Leadership, mentoring, and/or management experience may be required
  • Being a collaborative, team player with excellent communication skills is a must

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business, technical, or related field
  • 6+ years of business systems experience, including marketing to sales business process design and marketing team productivity process design (e.g. ABM, waterfall optimization, campaign implementation processes, etc.)
  • Experience with business process design and system implementation for Marketing and Sales systems, including leading website integrations for full-cycle marketing processes
  • Experience with change management, communications, collaboration and facilitation skills from previous projects
  • Experience communicating with and presenting to Executives with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with support and analysis of Marketo and Salesforce, or other combinations of MAP to Salesforce solutions
  • Experience leading and developing other team members
