CoSolutions, Inc. is looking for a Network Administrator / Analyst to be part of the data network maintenance and support at NNSY in Portsmouth, VA. The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Command Information Office (CIO) provides overall Information Technology (IT) support for the shipyard. The CIO department (Code 109) and the associated network capabilities are currently supporting activities which directly contribute to Navy Fleet readiness. Responsibilities: Provide all PM, analytical, technical, and customer service functions in support of NNSY with 10,000 seats and over 30,000 users in the NNSY Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Enterprise Network. Support the implementation of information technology (IT)/Cyberspace efficiency initiatives. Provide support services to achieve the acceptable levels of enterprise management and technical support, for the overhaul, repair, and maintenance of the Navy---s fleet in the areas of Technical Support, IT Strategies and Client Services, CyberSecurity, and Surge Support. Support all networking systems including WAN/LAN/wireless infrastructure. Perform maintenance procedures on networking hardware, cabling, operating systems, and infrastructure. Remain current on developments in telecommunications and networking technology. Provide strong technical knowledge and experience in routers, bridges, IP addressing, switches, hubs, other network devices, protocols, diagnostic tools and all existing network architectures (Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, etc.). Strong analytical and problem solving skills are critical to troubleshooting networking issues and analysis of system and network performance. Deliver high quality cost-effective solutions to all levels of users, and is also responsible for supporting the business goals and objectives for the Information Systems Department, and the organization as a whole. Provide support of multiple projects. Actively participating in team support by proposing and implementing solutions. Requirements: Active Secret clearance (must be willing to undergo SSBI) Working hours: are 0720-1550, Monday through Friday Bachelor---s Degree in an IT related discipline (OR additional five (5) years of relevant experience as described below). Three (3) years of experience as described below. Three (3) years of expert level network administrator experience and support. CompTIA Security+ CE required. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred. Network management formal training preferred. Demonstrated relevant experience with the following: Mainframe, midrange, IP addressing, network protocols, UNIX, network design, telecommunications strategy, environments, Operating systems, and equipment. Unix programming experience. Network management. Network cabling design and implementation. Sufficient technical depth to communicate with business and other internal IS Groups at a peer level Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). CoSolutions, Inc.
