Job Title: SAP Basis Administrator (AWS Cloud) Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity The SAP Basis Administrator will serve as a key technical expert supporting SAP landscape administration within the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) program. This individual will have the opportunity to: Lead the management, optimization, and modernization of SAP environments hosted in AWS Cloud infrastructure. Ensure high system availability, performance, and security across mission-critical Navy maintenance and logistics systems. Collaborate with functional, development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to enable scalable and resilient enterprise solutions. Support cloud transformation initiatives aligned with DoD and Navy digital modernization strategies. Responsibilities Administer and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager) including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades. Manage SAP environments in AWS, including provisioning, monitoring, performance tuning, and system refreshes. Perform system copies, client copies, transport management, and kernel upgrades across landscapes. Monitor system health and performance using SAP and AWS-native tools; proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime. Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in cloud-hosted environments. Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements (e.g., STIGs, RMF) and support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities. Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to automate deployments and improve system reliability. Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) and 8 years of relevant experience in SAP Basis administration. Hands-on experience administering SAP systems in AWS Cloud environments. Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, transport management, and system lifecycle management. Experience with SAP HANA database administration and performance tuning. Familiarity with DoD/Navy environments, including cybersecurity requirements (RMF, STIG compliance). Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain). Desired: Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migrations or cloud transformation initiatives. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator). Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar DevOps frameworks). Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and monitoring tools. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
