Position Overview The purpose of this position is to assist with
engineering and implementation of deep sea cable installations.
This position Interfaces with all Marine Services functional
engineering groups, Project Coordination, Project Management,
B&P, Newington Cable Factory, Cable Ships & Depots and external
contractors. Responsibilities \n Assist the supervising engineer
with cable system vessel loading and installation \n Assists with
engineering and implementation of deep sea installations \n Works
as a member of a team on activities associated with the
installation of submarine cable systems \n Write methods of
procedures for installation and loading activities \n Interface
with SubCom customers and assist with internal and external
training as needed \n \n Qualifications Qualifications \n
Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Excel \n MS Project, MS
Power Point, and Access competency a plus \n Strong communication,
computer, organization, interpersonal and math skills \n Technical
writing, AutoCAD, mapping,and charting skills desired \n Candidate
must pass the marine Fit for Duty physical exam \n 50-60% Domestic
and international travel at sea required. \n AA or equivalent \n \n
