Job Description Roanoke Animal Hospital is Eastern North
Carolina’s premier full-service veterinary hospital. Our modern
practice offers a wide variety of cutting edge medical, surgical,

Interest: Provided you maintain continued employment and good
standing with the Hospital, you may be permitted to participate in
the JV Pathway to Partnership Program or similar program which may
prepare you to purchase an agreed-upon ownership interest in the
Hospital at a future date. The terms of any such program are
subject to change at the Company’s discretion and without notice.
The purchase of any ownership interest shall be in accordance with
any terms the Board deems appropriate at such time in the future.
/n As the Medical Director, you will enjoy: /n /n - Up to $130,000
base salary plus production bonuses /n - Choice of Incentive up to

interests of our Veterinarians! /n Our practice enjoys the support

with high quality diagnostic, treatment, and surgical equipment,
allowing you to practice in an encouraging, supportive environment.

Leadership Qualities, Responsibilities & Qualifications: /n We are
looking for someone who will foster a positive, supportive

passionate about providing quality medicine, client education, and
exceptional service to our loyal clientele. /n /n Advancing Medical
Care /n /n - Oversee surgical and medical cases for all doctors,
ensuring positive outcomes, accurate estimates, and client
communication and education /n - Answer client questions and
concerns regarding medical and surgical procedures /n - Provide
oversight and direction of medical standards, quality of care and
inventory /n - Establish medical protocols /n - Oversee transfer of
medical cases from doctor to doctor /n - Minimizes waste and
controls costs relating to medical supplies, surgical instruments,
and drug inventories /n /n /n Leading Staff and Practice /n /n -
Participate in recruiting and interviewing process for Doctors, and
when appropriate general staff members /n - Be passionate about
Mentoring other Associates /n - Monitor Doctor performance and
production /n - Participates in technician appraisal and medical
counseling sessions /n - Ensure all medical staff receive
applicable training, including the mentoring of new graduates /n -
Supports the Hospital Manager with staff training programs and
tracking CE and DVM licensure /n /n /n Financial Responsibilities
/n /n - Drive revenue and contribute to hospital growth, including
managing hospital expenses /n - Assist in the preparation of an
annual planning strategy, operating budget and capital budget /n -
Monitors key financial reports /n - Drives patient visits and
encourages community involvement /n - Embrace change and support
interests within the hospital /n - Monitors client service,
marketing, and growth initiatives /n /n /n Skills and Basic
Qualifications /n /n - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree,
or equivalent, from an accredited university /n - Licensure in good
standing to practice in the state of North Carolina /n - Commitment
to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the
veterinary code of ethics /n - Demonstrates excellent verbal and
written communication skills /n - Delegates tasks and achieves
results with hospital team members /n - Makes decisions confidently
and effectively /n - Leads employees by coaching, correcting,
developing, and motivating them to achieve success /n - Manages
time and tasks appropriately /n - Models a professional and
courteous manner with staff and clients /n /n /n National
