Pay Information $2,798 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years required, travel experience required License: Compact or state license in hand (no exceptions) Certifications: BLS, ACLS required via American Heart Association Must-Have: EPIC proficiency, IV Start, Telemetry Interpretation Description: Chesapeake is located in an area known for its beautiful outdoor activities. It offers trails for all levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to explore. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:7. Candidates must not have any prior license or background issues. Shifts will include weekdays, weekends, floating, and holidays as outlined in the contract. Contract options include 12-hour shifts or 4-hour shifts, with overtime after 48 hours on the 4-hour shift. Candidates must include a cover sheet and a current nursing license report. All requested time off must be noted on the cover sheet. Medical or religious exemptions are allowed for the flu vaccine. Fit testing history will be reviewed, and any issues will lead to disqualification. An EKG testing requirement is in place for specific units. One attempt will be given for the EKG test, and passing requires an 80% or higher score.
