Purpose of PositionThe Electrophysiology Technologist will perform
specialized roles within the invasive cardiovascular procedure
setting. They operate specific high technology equipment and
utilizes products under the direction of a qualified physician to
assist with multispecialty cardiovascular procedures
performed.Essential Job FunctionsPerforms and supports image
acquisition, image processing, physiologic and/or hemodynamic data
acquisition, and simple electrophysiology (EP) or 3D mapping during
invasive procedures; assists nurses with patient management.Assists
physician operator and invasive team before, during and after
invasive procedures.Provides appropriate care to patients
consistent with level of training.Performs activities to support
the service and/or departmental operation.Serves, manages, and
supports internal and external customers.Participates in
performance improvement activities.Maintains the laboratory and/or
operating room and equipment; manage supplies first in, first out
(FIFO), and supports accurate billing for procedures performed.This

electrophysiology, aseptic techniques, and cardiac diagnostic and
interventional procedures
