Full Time Monday-Friday Schedule Competitive compensation ranging from $17.50 to $26.00, commensurate with experience. Our clinical locations: St. Mary's - 5899 Bremo Road, Richmond, VA 23226 Shrader Road - 7858 Shrader Road, Richmond VA 23294 Henrico Parham - 7650 East Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23294 Johnston-Willis - 1400 Johnston-Willis Dr., Richmond VA 23235 Chippenham - 1115 Boulders Parkway, Richmond, VA 23225 St. Francis Medical Pavilion - 13801 St. Francis Blvd, Midlothian VA 23114 Hanover Memorial - 8200 Meadowbridge Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23115 Prince George - 4710 Puddlerock Road, Prince George, VA 23875 Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Required 1+ year of experience in a medical facility working as a medical assistant or comparable clinical/patient-facing role. Position Summary As part of our orthopedic team, Medical Assistants interact with patients and perform various clinical/nonclinical functions as directed by the provider while following HIPAA and OSHA guidelines. Primary Functions & Accountabilities Patient intake to include medical/surgical history, medication and allergy review as well as height, weight and blood pressure. Perform clinical functions such as suture or staple removal, cast removal, dressing care or injections preparation. Schedule diagnostic test and follow up appointments. Surgery scheduling to include pre-operative clearance and testing coordination. Order entry via electronic medical record as directed by provider. Application of durable medical equipment. Respond to patient communication under direction of provider. Follow HIPAA and OSHA guidelines at all times. #MAOV Employment Type: Full Time
