POSITION OVERVIEW (duties include but are not limited to)

• Provide a full range of medical duties covering diagnosis, disability and processing/determination.
• Clinically assess patients and review medical records to determine the medical need for further clinical evaluation.
• Participate as a medical expert and committee member on the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB). Consult with and advise other healthcare professionals in the management of medical and treatment of patients.
• Determine clinical diagnoses based on available data and plan/implements a course of treatment.
• Admit patients per the BUMED Instruction 6010.30(series).QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university.
  • Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Successful completion of a psychologist intern program which has been approved by the American Psychology Association.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Clinical Psychologist within the last 5 years.
