Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and operate painting, washing, and drying units along conveyor line to coat metal, plastic, ceramic, and wood products with lacquer, powder, paint, primer, enamel, varnish, oil, or rust-proofing material Place, hang, or rack work pieces on conveyor line or stands to be coated or cleaned Adjust valves and run programmable controllers to regulate spray wash booth Start pumps to mix chemicals, and paints, to fill tanks, and to control viscosity, adding prescribed amounts or proportions of paints, thinners, and chemicals to mixture Screw specified nozzles into spray guns and positions nozzles to direct spray onto work piece Light ovens, adjust controls, and observe gauges on control panels to set specified temperature and air circulation in oven Synchronize speed of conveyors with action of spray guns and ovens Regulate air pressure in spray guns that atomize spray Determine flow, and viscosity of paints, and quality coating visually, or by viscometer. Maintain and clean, all guns, nozzles, hoses, and equipment to keep in clean, and good working order Maintain and clean conveyors, booths, and paint line area to ensure a safe and clean environment
